If you need a place for seasonal boxes, start with unit fit and travel. If you need somewhere to pick stock or occasionally work on packing, inspect the working area and its rules. An attractive shared space should not distract from a unit that is awkward to reach or expensive to leave.

Test access with the load you will carry
Walk the route from a legal loading point, through the building entrance and lift, to the quoted unit. Ask about goods-lift hours and waiting space. If carrying a trolley of archive boxes, a short walk on a map can be less convenient than a longer drive with direct unloading.
Decide what the amenities are worth to you
Ask whether a meeting pod or work area needs booking, has a time limit or costs extra. Confirm what activities are allowed. Storage space is not automatically permission to run an office, host customers or operate equipment inside the unit. If you will never use a facility, assign it no value in your cost comparison.
Get the same-period cash total from both: unit rent, any required protection, transport, setup charges and final-month billing. Keep refundable deposits separate. If one offer needs longer prepayment, compare the amount lost if your storage need ends early.
