If you need furniture collected from home, start with the moving scope. A cheap room is not a complete quote when dismantling, stairs and return delivery are still unpriced. If you will carry a few boxes yourself, compare the nearest suitable units and how much cash is tied up at the start.

Do not prepay a year to save one small move
Hypothetical example: you need storage for three months at HK$700 monthly. A free HK$500 inbound move would not justify paying an extra nine months of non-refundable rent. Compare the shortest suitable package with the annual package’s full cost, rather than subtracting a “free moving” value from an advertised rate.
Match the logistics to your use
For a sofa, measure the doors and corners between the lorry and the actual unit. For boxes you will retrieve weekly, compare your normal journey and the loading arrangements. If choosing managed storage rather than a private unit, confirm whether you can access the contents yourself or must book delivery.
Before paying, obtain the exact unit dimensions, total cash due, notice deadline and refund method. SC’s reservation payment is a separate arrangement from immediate rental; if reserving instead of moving in, ask when it expires and what happens if the move is postponed.
