Put the payment beside the period it buys

Cost per day describes how long the purchase lasts; it does not make these allowances equivalent. Thirty gigabytes over three years is about 0.83GB per month on average. A person using 20GB every month should not choose it merely because its daily holding cost is small.
If you mostly live abroad
Confirm roaming SMS reception in your destination and a renewal method you can complete there. Keep access to the carrier login and the payment method. The cheapest domestic voice pack does not automatically establish overseas OTP support or guarantee that every bank’s messages will arrive.
SoSIM balance and number validity are different
SoSIM’s recharge guide lists HK$200 to extend validity 365 days and HK$500 for 730 days from recharge. That money becomes balance you may spend on eligible services, so it is useful if you return and use it. It is a larger cash commitment if you only need to hold a number. Do not assume the separate HK$65 annual voice pack extends SIM validity by itself.
Keep the right number
Choose the receiving carrier’s port-in route if moving an existing line. LuckySIM’s ordinary new-eSIM checkout assigns a new number. Verify the eligible port-in purchase and complete the transfer before leaving Hong Kong if that is required by the selected process. Keep the old line active until it succeeds.
