The useful comparison starts with your age, whether you are bringing an existing number, and how long you will stay in Hong Kong. These details change the available price more than the choice between two brand names. If you may leave within a year, eliminate any offer whose exit bill you cannot afford before comparing extra gigabytes.

Read a rebate as a payment schedule
For 3HK’s 30GB example, HK$124 × 31 paid months = HK$3,844 before any other applicable items; divided by 36, that is HK$106.78. The displayed HK$107 does not mean every bill is HK$107. Obtain the rebate months and early-exit conditions in writing.
If the competing quote is for 24 months, show the remaining 12 months of the longer contract as a separate obligation. Do not invent a future renewal price to make both totals look comparable. A smaller monthly saving may not justify having another year left when your job or housing changes.
Check the data you can use in the same month
3HK’s promoted extra 77GB is spread across 24 months: 4GB in each of the first five months, then 3GB in each of months six to 24. It is not 77GB added every month. Both offers above reduce local data speed to a maximum of 1Mbps after the applicable allowance; treat that as a fallback, not an equivalent replacement for the full-speed pool.
Before porting, compare a normal working day on the intended network at your desk, home and commute where possible. Use the same phone and the apps that matter to you. A single speed test outside a shop will not answer whether calls work inside your flat. Keep the old number active while arranging the transfer.
